about

A song performed by the Sanctuary Seekers outside Durham Cathedral, by the stone engraving of a stone cow. The story goes the monks carrying St Cuthbert overheard a milkmaid looking for her lost cow at a place called Dunholme; the place one of the monks prophesied would be the resting place for their saint. The song is sung by Syrian refugees, who arrived in
the city seeking sanctuary from the civil war in Syria in 2016.
